Why Is Magnesium So Important?

Magnesium is a mineral that our bodies need for all systems to operate, making it essential for maintaining overall health. Studies have shown that magnesium improves our bodies ability to absorb calcium, produce energy, it regulates blood pressure, plays a critical role in bone formation and the list goes on! Our bodies do not produce magnesium, so what we need must come from external sources. Magnesium is found naturally in many foods such as seeds, nuts, leafy greens, dark chocolate, however, it can sometimes be difficult to get enough of this magical mineral from our diet alone, especially since cooking food can deplete magnesium, so i have been supplementing with a magnesium oil spray for the last 6 months.

I don’t like using Ibuprofen because it upsets my stomach, so to have found a product that doesn’t irritate my gut and provides period pain relief has been invaluable! I have also noticed that I retain less water around my stomach area. My eating and training habits haven’t varied, so I'm attributing the change to my use of magnesium oil.


What you need to know

It’s super common to experience tingling as you first begin to supplement with a magnesium spray. This often means that the magnesium oil is being absorbed into the body well and will eventually subside once your body acclimates to the dosage, so my advice is to start off small and work your way up to more sprays each day.
