+ Why I’m hooked
Why Is Magnesium So Important?
Magnesium is a mineral that our bodies need for all systems to operate, making it essential for maintaining overall health. Studies have shown that magnesium improves our bodies ability to absorb calcium, produce energy, it regulates blood pressure, plays a critical role in bone formation and the list goes on! Our bodies do not produce magnesium, so what we need must come from external sources. Magnesium is found naturally in many foods such as seeds, nuts, leafy greens, dark chocolate, however, it can sometimes be difficult to get enough of this magical mineral from our diet alone, especially since cooking food can deplete magnesium, so i have been supplementing with a magnesium oil spray for the last 6 months.
3 examples of how Magnesium has worked for me
1. Restful sleep
Since applying Salt Lab Magnesium Oil to the bottoms of my feet and stomach every night before bed, I sleep like a baby. I become loose limbed, experiencing euphoric sensations and fall into a deep and uninterrupted sleep. I have also ceased suffering from cramps in my feet and calves, which would sometimes wake me up during the night. Even Scott, my husband, who is a restless sleeper at the best of times has become addicted to using Magnesium Oil before bed for the very same reasons.
2. Effective muscle recovery
Magnesium oil is my muscle recovery game changer! I spray it directly on to my fatigued muscles of an evening and it significantly assists to alleviate muscle soreness and improves my mobility, allowing me to give each training sessions my best effort.
Improved PMS Symptoms
3. Improved PMS Symptoms
I apply magnesium oil to both my lower abdominal and lower back area when I have my period and bid farewell to the cramps. I don’t like using Ibuprofen because it upsets my stomach, so to have found a product that doesn’t irritate my gut and provides period pain relief has been invaluable! I have also noticed that I retain less water around my stomach area. My eating and training habits haven’t varied, so I'm attributing the change to my use of magnesium oil.
What you need to know
It’s super common to experience tingling as you first begin to supplement with a magnesium spray. This often means that the magnesium oil is being absorbed into the body well and will eventually subside once your body acclimates to the dosage, so my advice is to start off small and work your way up to more sprays each day.
I have tried a few brands and Salt Lab Magnesium Oil is my favourite by far. I have been using it for at least 3 months and it is the highest grade magnesium oil on the market. They ensure that there are no heavy metal contamination and it comes in a cute BPA free bottle. It also doesn't smell and it isn’t overly ‘oily’. One bottle cost me $33, both Scott and I use it daily and we’re only ¾ through, making it a good value for money investment.
Make Salt Lab Magnesium Oil a part of your daily routine and you’ll be amazed at how many benefits you’ll notice. My only regret is that i hadn’t found this miracle mineral in a bottle sooner.
