Kid-Approved Banana Choc Cookies

These soft, chocolatey banana cookies are a go-to for busy parents. Naturally sweetened with ripe bananas, made in one bowl, and perfect for lunchboxes or after-school snacks. No mixer, no fuss - just simple, delicious ingredients and happy kids!

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10–12 minutes
Serves: 12 cookies
Ingredients
2 large ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup rolled or quick oats
1/2 cup Buddee Chocolate Spread (nut-free)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)
Method
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper
Step 2. In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add the chocolate spread, cocoa powder, vanilla and bicarbonate of soda, and mix well
Step 3. Stir through the oats, then fold in the chocolate chips or nuts, if using
Step 5. Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared tray, flattening slightly and spacing them apart
Step 6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until just set
Step 7. Allow to cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
