The Ultimate Healthy French Toast!

Made with simple and wholesome ingredients, It’s super easy to whip up and is perfect for breakfast, brunch, a snack or lunch! Serve this light and fluffy french toast with yoghurt, fresh berries and maple syrup - DELISH!


Ready in: 10mins

Makes: 4 slices/ 2 servings .

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil cooking spray

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup milk of choice

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp vanilla essence

  • 1 tbsp natural maple syrup

  • 4 pieces wholemeal sourdough

Topping:

  • 2 tbsp yoghurt - I used Blueberry @yoproau

  • Maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup fresh berries.


Method:


Step 1. Add milk, egg, cinnamon, vanilla essence and maple syrup to a bowl and whisk until combine


Step 2. Dip each bread slice in the mixture and allow to soak for 30secs each side


Step 3. Bring a pan to medium heat and lightly spray with olive oil


Step 4. Carefully place each bread piece in the pan and cook for approximately 2 minutes each side or until golden brown


Step 5. Serve immediately and top with yoghurt, fresh fruit and an extra drizzle of maple syrup
