Frugal 5 Cheeseburger Bowl

Customisable, affordable, low carb, quick and delicious! All the best classic burger fillings like tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and of course that special sauce - with a wholesome twist




Serves: 4

Ready in: 15 mins


Ingredients

  • 500g beef mince

  • 1 head lettuce chopped

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved or quartered

  • 1 cup shredded cheese of choice

  • 4 pickles, thinly sliced or diced

  • 4 slices bacon (optional)

  • salt & pepper to taste

Sauce

  • ½ cup Greek yoghurt

  • 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ¼ cup bbq sauce

Garnish (optional)

  • sesame seeds


Method

Step 1. Combine dressing ingredients in a bowl with a whisk. Set aside


Step 2. Add beef to a large pan over medium-high heat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Set aside


Step 3. Cook bacon in a pan over medium heat until desired crispiness is achieved. Chop into bite-sized pieces once cooled (optional)


Step 4. Once all ingredients are cooked, begin to layer in bowl. Use ¼ of the total ingredients for one serving. Layer in this order - lettuce, meat, bacon, cheese, tomatoes, and pickles. Drizzle with 1tbsp (or more depending on your liking) of the dressing, garnish with sesame seeds, and enjoy x
