We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but what is really important is what ingredients go into your breakfast. The ingredient list of these bars is crammed with healthy whole clean super foods, that help to keep away disease, build muscle and satisfy your morning cravings
Serves: 6
Ready in: 30 mins
Ingredients:
Base
2 cups old rolled oats
1 cup slivered almonds
4 tablespoons rice malt syrup or agave syrup
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 ripe bananas
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 scoop Vanilla Protein (I use Tropeaka Vanilla)
Topping
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup fresh blueberries
1/4 cup of almond milk
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Method:
Step 1. Preheat oven to 200° and line a 20 x 20cm baking tray with baking paper and lightly grease with coconut oil
Step 2. Add all ingredients in to food processor until completely combined
Step 3. Pour into prepared baking tray and smooth out with a spatula until evenly spread
Step 4. Bake the base for 8-10 minutes
Step 5. Combine all the topping ingredients in to a medium bowl and stir to combine
Step 6. Removing baking tray from oven, spread topping evenly over and lightly press down into base.
Step 7. Bake an additional 12 minutes
Step 8. Let cool before cutting into 6 bars... and enjoy xx
Notes: Store these bars in a fridge in a sealed container for one week
